First Day

Last night we slept on the bus it was not fun at all. I can't wait to sleep at the hotel tonight. We drove all night to get to Tennessee. It was a 13 hour drive but we watched movies and played games so even though it was really long it seemed to go fast. This morning we ate at a Waffle House in Tennessee and it was really good food. Then we loaded the bus to drive to Georgia. It was a four hour drive to get to Atlanta, GA. Then we ate at Johnny Rockets in the Underground. It was 1950s malt shop and it was really good food. Then we went and listened to a speaker named Jacqueline Rouse at Georgia State University. She talked a lot about women in the civil rights movement and it was very cool to hear about women from the movement. I learned a lot about how to be an activist and how the women worked hard even if they didn't get any credit. She told a lot of stories about different and very interesting women. It was so cool. At the end she signed her book for me. I was glad to meet her.

Then we went to the world of Coca-Cola museum. I got to taste 67 different kinds of pop form around the world. Some of them taste really good but some taste awful. The one from Italy- Beverly- was the worst! It was really fun. We also got a glass bottle of coke that was made at the museum and we got to see how it got made. Then we went walking in the Olympic Park. After that we went to the CNN building. It is so big because it was an amusement park before it became the CNN Headquarters. So it has many floors and the worlds biggest escalator.
